Fwd: Truly Enthralling Journey

This how it all happened.
We started off around 6.30 AM on Saturday to Vemulawada, a famous SHIVA temple in Telangana 160 Kms away from Hyd and reached there around 9 AM. We had done a special puja there and went to a picnic spot near by called NAMPALLI GUTTA, it is on a rocky hill with little artificial arrangements for attracting visitors. A snake like structure is constructed where in you can pass thru it and find different statues imitating mahishasura vadha, a Brahmin, rawanasura, local tribals etc. it took 40 minutes to see all that and then we started to Karimnagar where I finished my schooling.

I went to APSRTC quarters where we used to live in my child hood, see our flat there in the same condition as we left, looking at the ground we prepared cutting the bushes around; we were the first few people to occupy those quarters as they were being built. So we had to prepare everything by our self. The ground, flag hoisting base for Aug 15th (it is still the same may be they has put some paints)

Then I visited my school to re collect the memories of child hood. Those appreciations from English madam, punishments from the telugu sir, tough Sir’s, supportive teachers. My class where I was first in running out of the class and last while writing social exam; top 10 in English and last one history; My class, My bench…

We passed thru all the class rooms we sat and then remembered our play grounds fun we had there. Nothing was changed except for few modifications. I could still see my self paying volley ball keeping an eye on the girls playing in basket ball court beside. J. Auditorium where we used play small shows, no no, I was not part of them I just used to support them on rehearsals.

After then we went to meet couple of school friends and at 5.30 PM we started off to Jannaram forest camp which was 85 away from Karimnagar. We went thru a high way which used very less these days and found no traffic. It was so exciting for me and scared for others while we watch my speedo meter touching 130 KMPH. There were very less public on road but there we few chicken playing on road one of which was hit by me. MAY ITS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

We stayed in a forest guest house which looks like a booth bangalow in the horror films we see. Single house in thick forest and no light near by. When we came out to take some water in I guess the thermometer would also have freeze that time it was 12 degrees… (we were told that there is 24 hrs water provision later we understood there is a hand bore out side where you can get water round the clock.)
Next day morning I got up horrifying…

On that day, my friend, u will Rock..

Rab ne bane di jodi

If some one has to do DDLJ, Mohabbatein, KKHH, K3G, Kal ho naa Ho it is definitely Sharukh Khan…And so is Rab ne bani di jodi…

Ee review rastunte naaku anipinchindi enti ante…asalu ee cinema gurinchi nenem rayagalanu ani…deeniki oka udaharana…monna okka interview lo Shamak Dhawar (Famous Choreographer)cheppadu…SRK ki nenu steps cheppakarledu…atanu ala vestuntadu…avi entha baguntayi ante naa steps nenu marchipotanu ani…I don’t need to direct him…he will direct my thoughts ani…Alane SRK did don this film.

Story line is simple as every know. A girl marries Surendar unexpectedly and when he founds that she is not happy with him he tries to make her happy thru Raj’s character and she falls for him and you know whom she settles with J.

Though the line is easy to say the execution made all the difference and was perfect…and was SRK…He alone can only show variations in two different roles without any jerks. He did perfect justice to both Surendar sahani role and Raj role. His expressions in couple of scenes were amazing. Anushka gave best performance and you don’t believe her to be new to screen…perfectly chosen…

Music by Merchants was good, camera by ravi chandran was too good and Aditya chopra showed his brilliance in the execution…

Couple of scenes I liked:

1. Tani saying to surendar that she has been compared to him from child hood and still behaving decently.
2. When Tani comes to the party with collegues with juices.
3. Where Surendar tries to place the rose on the table and then taking it back.
4. getting struck with the pen drive and laptop when Tani comes to talk to Surendar
5. Where Raj expresses his love to Tani using the lights in the city
6. Complete song of Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai
7. Cameo song Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte using five heroins (Kajol, Bipasha Basu, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta and Lara Dutta) Kajol was cute as Nargis in that song.
8. The slideshow using the honey moon photos with SRK’s voiceover during end-titles rolling.

Though it gives a different feel for few minutes in second half rest of the film is decent…does not bore in any scenes… The positive points are SRK and a sexy heroin Anushka, screenplay and direction by Aditya. Over all ga A must watch film…

Screen play modati suthram: Where DRAMA Begins there LOGIC Ends. Logic cinema ki entha varaku avasaramo antha varake vadadu and it looked nice…ikalu peeki kakulaki vese vallu ee cinema chudakandi…chusi kampu pracharam cheyyoddu ani manavi…

Cost Cutting....... must read

Once a man married to a city girl and there was a huge age difference
between them and they were not what one would call a perfect couple.
They were merely stretching their marriage with no real romance in between them.
They were two very different people. There was a reality dance show
called ABCD - which was the main backdrop of their life story. The show was on
the lines of popular television show, Dance with me . Apparently girl wanted to take part in the dance competition but she couldn't because her husband was old and not hip and happening she feared that if she danced with him, she would lose the show and become the laughing stock among all her friends, who were taking part in the same.
Husband overheard his wife's problem and decided to go in for a
makeover. He then watched some movies and changed his image completely
and came back to the show and put girl off his feet. All the way through the dance competition, girl kept falling in love with this new and improved guy, without once realizing that the man she was dancing with was her real husband......then...........

Disorder in the CourtThese are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. ________________________________________________
ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: How many were boys?
WITNESS: None.
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?
WITNESS: Are you shittin' me? Your Honor, I think I need adifferent attorney. Can I get a new attorney?
________________________________________________
ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS: By death.
ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?

________________________________________________
ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS: Oral.
________________________________________________
ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?

what an situation

A Wednesday

I could not watch at its release but some how I managed watch this film yesterday. The concept was little different. The story runs in cheating screenplay (cheating screenplay is a technique where they portrays doing things for one purpose but does it for something else. Good example is - Aithe). A common man (Naseeruddin Shah) demanding commissioner of police (Anupam Kher) to release four terrorists so that he can kill them. For that he plants a bomb in PS opposite to head quarters and threatens that there are six more in city trigged off at 5 pm and if they don’t release the goons.

Naseeruddin Shah donned that role. He was apt. The way he looked cool was very impressive and his working style & dialect was very impressive.

Anupam kher as was good as Police Boss and the way he acts at tough situations gave an idea of how police do behave on certain incidents.

Jimmy Shergil is good with a new avatar as a hot-blooded cop. Aamir Bashir is also good as efficient police office. Deepal Shaw is good as news-hunger journalist.

Story, screenplay and direction are assets of the film. This proves again that a new director with new thoughts can do a good film. When I heard that this is film is based on terrorism I thought there will be couple of blasts but the story is completely different. It is hard to deal this film with out tight screen play and Director Neeraj Pandey has done a good home work which can be observed in every frame. Definitely he has a long way to go industry. Dialogues are realistic. You can relate to our own language at times. . Cinematography, Editing &. Background music are good.

Over all its 4.5/5 marks film and a must watch. One of the best of its Kind. Don’t miss it.

* I never feel good to reveal the story but as the movie is little old and does not give a feel unless you watch it I had.

Golmaal Returns

one more comedy from Asta Vinayak.

Gopal (Ajay Devgangets stuck in a yacht after saving an attractive woman Meera (Celina Jaitley) from some goons. Both end up spending the night on the yacht and when he comes home the next day, his painfully suspicious wife (Kareena) suspects him. Gopal knows it's going to be hard to quell her suspicion so he concocts a cock-and-bull story about having stayed the night with a fictitious friend called Anthony Gonsalves. Gopal convinces his junior at work, Laxman (Shreyas Talpade) to pretend to be Anthony. Madhav (Arshad Warsi) who has rivalrly with Ajay on on hand and other hand is Esha's(Amrita Arora-Ajay's sister) boyfriend learns that the latter had been missing from home that eventful night and begins checking on him.

Though this is said to be a comdedy film by nature director could not succed making out and out comedy one except for few scenes. This is OK film to watch if you have some time with nothing else to do nor wait for DVD.

DASVIDANIYA.

DASVIDANIYA...One of the best films I have watched in recent times…
This is story of a person who is about to die in 3 months and how he fulfills his small wishes in those months…

Though the story goes little slow the screen play is Just Awesome. Vinay Pathak had just lived in a role of dying patient. He is exceptionally well and his performance is just brilliant in this film. I would say this film should bang couple of awards for the Vinay Pathak and as the well as the director Shashant Shah. Rajat Kapoor, Neha dhupia and the person who did his brother role were good.

SCENES IMPRESSED ME:
· The expressions while he deletes the file and pours frooti on his boss quitting his job.
· Expressing love to Neha Dupia – Too excellent…can watch the film for this scene alone.
· LOVE at Russia
· Title roles at the end.

Dialogues, music and editing are good. Over all it’s a must film to watch…don’t miss it.

Evolution of Indian rupee

The rupee has evolved over the years, not only in design and structure but also in valuation. Let's take a quick look at the high points of its development over the past sixty years.
Brief history
Under the British rule, several princely states had the right to issue coins and banknotes, and several of them did so until 1950. The value of this rupee varied from one state to another. The rupee issued by the Government of India was assigned a value, relative to the British pound sterling. The concept of a single currency or Indian rupee, holding the same value, design and structure across the country, developed only after independence.
The Indian rupee was also used extensively in West Asia, East Africa and other parts of the world that were on trade routes to and from India. The rupee was used in Aden and in British Somaliland until 1951, in Iraq from 1917 to 1931, in Kuwait until 1961, in Bahrain until 1966, in Qatar and the Trucial Coast until 1967 and in the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman until 1966.
After independence, rupee was made divisible into 100 naye paise between 1957-64, and 100 paise beginning in 1964. The Treasury of the Government of India issued banknotes until 1943. The Reserve Bank of India was set up in April 1, 1935 and took over responsibility for issuing banknotes after 1943.
The Haj Rupee and Persian Gulf Rupees were also issued by the Reserve Bank of India till 1965.
The French, Dutch and Portuguese colonies in India, where the Indian rupee value was relative to the parent country's currencies, regularized the rupee only after accession to India in the 50s and 60s.
Design and Style:
After independence, the government brought out the new design Re 1 note in 1949. Initially, it was felt that the King's portrait be replaced by a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. Eventually, Lion of Asoka, which is also the national emblem, was chosen. The new design of notes were largely along earlier lines. Hindi found a place on the rupee note in 1953, followed by 14 other languages.
The economic crisis in late 1960s led to a reduction in the size of notes in 1967. High denomination notes such as Rs 500, Rs 1,000 Rs. 10,000 were demonetized and subsequently re-introduced in the new millennium.

The "Mahatma Gandhi Series" was introduced in 1996. Prominent new features included a changed watermark, windowed security thread, latent image and intaglio features for the visually handicapped. These features are enhanced and improved continuously to provide more security and prevent fake currency printing.
Currency valuations:
Prior to independence, the Indian currency was pegged against silver. The silver-based rupee, fluctuated according to the value of silver and had a distinct disadvantage while trading against currencies which were based on the gold standard. This was rectified post-independence.
Problems of the 50s and 60s:
India inherited a trade deficit because of its colonial past. Complications of partition further accentuated the problem. Owing to a negative savings rate, the country could not lean on the private corporate sector or public savings. The relatively young economy, struggling with a mounting budget deficit, found an outlet in government bonds which were issues to the Reserve Bank of India to increase money supply. Unfortunately, this increased inflation as well.
Following the Indo-Pak War of 1965, the main sources of foreign aid dried up as the western economies, mainly the US and the UK, sided with Pakistan. India was also told to lift trade restrictions by its major trade partners in the developed world. In addition to high defense spending, because of war conditions, the country also faced its worst drought during the period. This led to a decline in agricultural production and a sharp rise in prices.
At that point, India had a fixed exchange rate system, where the rupee was pegged to the value of a basket of currencies of major trading partners. These currencies were, the US dollar, the UK pound sterling, the Japanese yen, the Deutsche mark and the Italian lira. Its value was determined from time to time, according to change in the relatives values of these currencies vis-à-vis one another and India's trade account with them.
The government had no choice but to effect a currency devaluation. At the end of 1969, the rupee was trading at around 13 British Pence.

One of DELHI's most famous historical monuments Built by Shah Jahan, the 5th in the line of Mughals Red fort or "Lal Qila" is made in red sandstone completely. RED FORT lo light and sound show mana GOLCONDA antha baaga anipinchaledu…kaaranam may be lack of AMITABH voice anipinchindi…kanee daani HISTORY adbutham…NADIR SHAH mana KOHINOOR DIAMOND ni PEACOCK THROWN ni yettukonni vellipoyadu anappudu manasu keliki nattu ayindi…em chestam. “Ye charita chusina emundi garva kaaranam” anattu...konni konni anthe...

Light and sound show begins at 7 PM but u need to reach there by 6.30 PM so that you need not hurry in the line.

I recommend seeing only “SOUND AND LIGHT” show if you have a plan to visit Jaipur and Agra as you will visit Amber fort, Fathepur Sikri and Agra Fort. All the forts and most of the history is same but here you get to know history thru the show. However do visit once to see where our PM do hoist our flag on INDEPENDENCE DAY & REPUBLIC DAY.

One of the finest museums in the world, the National Museum is a treasure house of a wide range of exhibits from over 5000 years of Indian culture, including exquisite Mughal miniature paintings and artifacts from the ancient Indus Valley Civilization dating back to 2000 BC.
This is good to visit but I do recommend visiting this only if you are interested in History. Naa varaku I am not interested but had to see as my wife was interested… (oka Bharya chatu bhartha gaa naaku tappadu kada)

You can also see the way Indira Gandhi was walking in her last moments and the place where she was shot. If you are interested in Indira and Rajiv make visit to this…. However as I saild most of these places like India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Shanti Path (All Embassies), Rajpath, Indira Gandhi Memorial, Teen Murti Bhavan (Nehru Museum), All MP’s house, PM house, BJP office, Sonia Gandhi house are all nearer. RAJ GHAT

1948 Jan 31st roju Gandhi garini tagala bettina place idi… An open platform etched with Mahatma Gandhi's last words "Hey Ram" (Oh God) is set in a garden with fountains and a variety of exotic trees. This is the place where the mortal remains of the Mahatma were consigned to the flames. It consists of a simple square black-marble platform that stands on the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Do not miss to visit this place and pay your respects there. Nearby, there are cremation sites of Jawaharlal Nehru - the first Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. But one thing which I felt bad was Mrs Sonia Gandhi being the wife of Rajiv Gandhi and from who she earned this respect in our country her being foreigner, could not maintain that place properly. It was maintained so bad that I doubt if they clean that place at least once in a month. Edo year ki rendu sarlu family-family katta kattukoni vachi edustaru tappinchi…aa tarwatha vallu asalu deeni pattinchukoru ani ardham avutundi….And don’t ask me on Indira Gandhi Samadhi…Oka peddddddddddda Stone daani meeda pettaru…Aaa rayi ento dani katha ento cheppataniki akkada okkaru kuda leru. Visit them if you are interested. They are next to Raj Ghat and it will take hardly 10 mins to see them.

One of the finest temples I have seen… this is undoubtedly a world of Indian culture ornate with 20, 000 statues, floral motifs, arches and exquisitely carved pillars. Chandni Chowk

The antiquity of the main market area of Chandni Chowk has rendered it a venerated place in the markets of DELHI. It is said that it was once lined with beautiful fountains. However, with time, it grew as crowded as it is today. Mana old city la untundi kanee akada dorike varities kanee aa price kanee ekkada dorakavu…em konaka poyina okka sari anna chudatiki vellandi…this is very nearer to RED FORT…konali anukunte kontha ekkuva cash pattukelladam manchidi(off course akkada chala ATM’s unnayi :) )

Jama Masjid
Chandni Chowk ki velle darilo opposite Red fort untundi idi…Another architectural wonder of Mughal India, Jama Masjid or the Jami Masjid was built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan, between 1644 and 1658. With a capacity of 25000, Jama Masjid is the largest and most unique in India offering birds' eye views over the walled city.

Humayun's Tomb
An elegant red sandstone and white marble precursor to its more famous cousin Taj Mahal, Humayun's Tomb was built by his first wife Haji Begum after his death from a fall in the stairs. The inner sanctum contains the crypts of the emperor and his wife, and has some really amazing acoustics.

Purana Quila
Built on the historic site of Indraprastha the capital of the Pandavas of the Mahabharata) Purana Quila or the "Old Fort" was the combined efforts of the Mughal Emperor Humayn and Sher Shah, who, for a short period, almost extinguished the hopes of a permanent Mughal Empire. Spread on a circuit of about a mile, the fort has three gates and its walls are surrounded by a mat fed by the river Yamuna. The octagonal red sandstone tower known as 'Sher Mandal' was used by Humayun as his library and observatory.

Jantar Mantar
First in the series of five observatories constructed in different parts of India by Sawai Jai Singh II, the great astronomer king of Jaipur (1699-1743), the Jantar Mantar is situated between Connaught Place and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Idi nenu Delhi lo chuadledu kanee Jaipur lo chusanu…time calculator time ni caluclae chesina teeruki nijanga hats off…Massive deep-red and white sloping stone structures loom over palm trees and tidy flowerbeds - the giant sundials cast shadows, which were formerly used to calculate time, solar and lunar calendars and astrological movements, all with a wonderful degree of precision.

Safdarjang's Tomb
Built in 1753 by Nawab Shauja-ud-Daula of Avadh to house the mortal remains of his father, Safdarjang, the Mughal viceroy of Avadh under Muhammad Shah (1719-48), the tomb is referred to as the "last flicker in the lamp of Mughal architecture." It is a testimony to depletion of the grandeur and grace of the Mughal architecture in its decadent years. One of the last in the tradition of Mughal garden tombs, the structure has a courtyard and a mosque.
